General Terms and Conditions

Protective Gear

  1. Wicketkeeper:

    • The wicketkeeper is the only member of the fielding side permitted to wear protective gloves.

  2. Batsmen:

    • Both batsmen are allowed to wear gloves while batting.

Insurance

  1. The NRW Spartans Club and organizers are not responsible for any accidents or injuries that a player may suffer while:

    • Traveling to/from the grounds.

    • Playing or spectating a game.

  2. The NRW Spartans Club or any member of the organizing committee will not be held liable for any accidents or injuries under the above circumstances.

Judicial and Disciplinary Committee

  1. Any hearing will be conducted under the Judicial Procedures of the Cricket Deutschland Council.

  2. Outcomes imposed in accordance with the Dubai Cricket Council rules and regulations will be upheld during and after the tournament and communicated to the offending player or team.

Accreditation

  1. Purpose of Accreditation:

    • Ensure the correct players are on the pitch at any time.

    • Verify each team has the correct number of players and personnel registered.

    • Provide access to appropriate areas of the venue.

    • Ensure security and protection in case of an emergency.

  2. Accreditation Rules:

    • All participating players and registered team personnel must be accredited by the specified date.

    • Providing false names, photos, details, or eligibility documentation will result in accreditation being denied or withdrawn.

    • Attempting to enter the venue without proper accreditation or using counterfeit, damaged, or altered passes will result in removal from the venue and a ban from future competitions.

    • Accreditation will only be issued to registered team players and personnel when squad sheets are submitted.

    • Teams failing to accredit their players by the deadline will incur a financial penalty of 250 dhs per squad member and may not be invited to participate the following year.

    • Lost accreditation passes must be reported to the Registration Manager, and a replacement fee of 500 dhs will apply.

    • Players or squad members subject to a match ban will have their accreditation removed during the ban period.

    • Any abuse of the accreditation system will result in the immediate removal of all benefits.

Social Media

  1. Teams must comply with the Social Media Guidelines, available upon request or at: admin@cricketdeutschland.com .

  2. Live streaming of matches on social media or any other platform is strictly prohibited.

Conduct

  1. General Behaviour:

    • Participants, team personnel, and supporters are expected to behave in a manner appropriate to the cultural sensitivities of the UAE.

    • Verbal comments and conduct must be inoffensive and in the spirit of sportsmanship.

    • Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action.

  2. Oval/Pitch/Court Invasion:

    • Only participants and team personnel are allowed on the pitches for warm-up and match play.

    • Supporters are not permitted on the pitches at any time.

    • Unauthorized access will result in Police intervention, removal from the stadium, and a ban from future tournaments.

  3. Acts of Violence:

    • Violent behavior will result in Police intervention, removal from the stadium, and a ban from future tournaments.

Data Protection

  1. Personal information provided by teams and their representatives will be collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with the Participant Privacy Policy.

  2. Team managers are responsible for informing team members about the sharing of personal information and the Participant Privacy Policy.

  3. By signing the official tournament invitation and squad sheet, team managers, officials, and players accept the terms outlined above.

  4. Squad members irrevocably consent to the recording and use of their voice, image, and likeness for promotional purposes by the organizers and sponsors.

Sponsorship and Commercial Activity

  1. Sponsorship:

    • Teams may acknowledge sponsors through branding on their team kit, provided the sponsor and branding are appropriate to local culture and religious beliefs.

    • The Tournament Management reserves the right to disallow kits deemed inappropriate.

    • Teams are not permitted to use the official tournament logo or marks on their kit or associated items.

  2. Commercial Activity:

    • Teams (including players, officials, and associated persons) are not permitted to undertake any marketing or promotional activity in or around the venue during the tournament.

    • Sponsor branding on gazebos is allowed, provided it does not conflict with the Emirates Airline brand, World Sevens Series sponsors, or other identified sponsors.

    • Any breach of these rules will result in the immediate removal of unauthorized materials and potential disciplinary action.
